Nick Cannon Explains Daughter Monroe’s Viral Brother Comment
At this point, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Nick Cannon is perhaps best known for fathering many children with several different women.

Then there is the second set of twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, whom he shares with Abby De La Rosa. Abby and Nick are also parents to a daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin.

He shares a son, Legendary Love, with Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi, and another daughter, Onyx Ice, with LaNisha Cole.

Finally, he has a daughter, Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott. Nick and Alyssa also had a baby boy named Zen; however, he tragically passed away at just 5 months old following a heartbreaking brain cancer diagnosis.

Given his extensive family tree, you can understand the public’s shock when Monroe, Nick’s daughter with Mariah, posted an Instagram story last November claiming she has just “one” brother. “clearing something up guys!” she wrote to her followers. “i only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon. i do have other half siblings from my dad but they are all many many years younger than me!”

At the time, Monroe’s post ignited a massive online debate. Interestingly, it led many fans to feel “sad” for the teenager, with one Instagram user commenting, “This just sounds like a kid who is fed up with the toxic dynamics her father created.”

“This is Nick’s fault, not hers. He decided to go have all of those kids SEPARATELY. It’s up to him to bridge this gap. She’s also young and probably pissed that her dad now has 10 other kids. Let her feel how she feels. This is her life,” another social media user added.

Now, following months of internet discourse, Nick claims that Monroe’s statement was “taken out of context.” “It’s so funny,” the mogul remarked during a recent guest appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, “because the world thought that it was about a conversation that was something that it wasn’t.”

Nick clarified that the IG story was actually a response to a “teenage gossip conversation,” explaining: “There was a couple kids online saying that they were my kids’ siblings. Like, ‘Oh, that’s my sister, oh, that’s my brother.’ So my daughter wanted to clear it up and be like, ‘I only have one brother, like literally in her age group. All these other guys that are saying they’re my brother are not my brother.’”

He noted that the public misinterpretation deeply “upset” Monroe, who was 14 at the time. “She was like, ‘I didn’t mean that. I said my dad has other kids,’” Nick remembered, noting that he used the moment to advise her to “be very careful on what you share” in the digital space.

“I was like, ‘But let this be a lesson that you gotta be very careful what you say on social media. People will take something very small and blow it up to something that you don’t have control over anymore,’” he shared. He further clarified that “she was apologetic to me and to her other siblings.” “It was a great lesson for my teenage daughter to learn where, like, you don’t have to say everything that you feel on social media because people ‘gon take it and run with it.”

Looking at one side of the coin, Beyoncé actually served as a co-chair for the Met Gala this year. Because of that, several attendees were quizzed on their favorite Bey hits, including Colman Domingo, Angela Bassett, Nicole Kidman, and Chase Infiniti. In context, the question was totally relevant, and Paul’s body language could be seen as brushing off her artistic impact.
