Wireless Festival Canceled: UK Blocks Kanye West Entry 2026
London’s iconic Wireless Festival has been officially scrapped after the UK government moved to block Kanye West — now legally known as Ye — from crossing the border. Authorities cited that his presence in the country would not be “conducive to the public good.”

In a formal announcement, festival organizers explained: “The Home Office has officially withdrawn YE’s ETA, denying him entry into the United Kingdom. Consequently, Wireless Festival is cancelled, and full refunds will be processed for all ticket holders.”

“As with every Wireless Festival, various stakeholders were consulted before booking YE, and no red flags were raised at that time,” the statement elaborated. “Antisemitism in any form is completely abhorrent, and we understand the deep personal impact these matters have caused. As YE mentioned today, he realizes that words alone cannot fix the damage, yet he still hopes for the chance to start a dialogue with the Jewish community within the UK.”

This drastic measure follows years of escalating controversy surrounding Ye. From the public harassment of his former wife to his polarizing political stances, the 48-year-old artist has remained a fixture of global scandal throughout his long career. However, most critics agree that his repeated antisemitic hate speech over the last few years represents his most damaging behavior to date.

Ye’s public targeting of the Jewish community intensified in 2022 when he posted a now-infamous message on X claiming he would go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” That same year, his rhetoric triggered the collapse of numerous high-profile business deals and corporate partnerships, most notably his multi-billion dollar Yeezy collaboration with Adidas.

Fast forward two years, and Ye’s VULTURES 1 project faced heavy criticism for containing antisemitic lyrics and imagery. During that same period, he delivered a viral six-minute rant concerning Jewish people during a private album listening event.
Most recently, in 2025, the rapper sparked outrage by declaring himself “a Nazi” and airing a Super Bowl commercial that led fans to a site selling swastika-branded merchandise. Less than a year ago, he uploaded a music video to X titled “HEIL HITLER (HOOLIGAN VERSION),” which utilized Nazi symbols and themes.

This timeline leads us to January 2026, when Ye — who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder back in 2016 at age 39 — issued a lengthy formal apology for his antisemitic remarks. He attributed his past actions to a traumatic brain injury and a “long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior.”

“I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst. You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to have someone who was, at times, unrecognizable,” the 48-year-old wrote, explaining that he felt “detached from [his] true self.” “In that fractured state, I gravitated toward the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika, and even sold T-shirts bearing it. One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments – many of which I still cannot recall – that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body-experience.”

“I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,” he continued. “To the black community – which held me down through all of the highs and lows and the darkest of times. The black community is, unquestionably, the foundation of who I am. I am so sorry to have let you down. I love us.”
Ye ended his statement by expressing a desire to “earn” back the public’s trust — an effort that has defined his recent moves. Since the apology, Ye dropped his latest studio album, Bully, and performed to massive crowds in Mexico and at a sold-out SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles just last week.

His appearances at SoFi Stadium represented his most prominent US shows since the controversy began. Ticket demand was unprecedented, with over a million fans in the digital queue for the first date, forcing the addition of a second show to accommodate the hype.
His recent “comeback arc” has dominated social media trends, particularly after he was named the headliner for all three nights of the upcoming Wireless Festival in July. The March 31 announcement was met with immediate backlash from politicians and advocacy groups, leading several major sponsors to pull their support from the event.

Despite the growing pressure, Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic, released a statement on April 6 defending the decision to book Ye, while still acknowledging the rapper’s “abhorrent” history.

“Having had a person in my life for the last 15 years who suffers from mental illness, I have witnessed many episodes of despicable behaviour that I have had to forgive and move on from. If I wasn’t before, I have become a person of forgiveness and hope in all aspects of my life, including work,” Benn stated. “Forgiveness and second chances are becoming lost virtues in this divisive world. I would ask people to reflect on their initial reactions of disgust and offer some level of hope, as I have chosen to do.”
As calls to ban Ye from the UK grew louder, the rapper released his own statement earlier today, noting he had been “following the conversation around Wireless” and wanted to speak on it.

“My only goal is to come to London and present a show of change, bringing unity, peace, and love through my music,” he wrote, even offering to meet with UK Jewish community leaders to “listen.”

Matthias Nareyek / Getty Images
“I know words aren’t enough,” he added. “I’ll have to show change through my actions. If you’re open, I’m here.”

Scott Dudelson / Getty Images
A representative for the Campaign Against Antisemitism has praised the UK government’s decision to bar the rapper, stating: “The government has made the correct choice. By stating that antisemitism has no home in the UK and following through with action, they have sent a clear message.”

“An individual who has profited from swastika merchandise and released songs praising Hitler just months ago is clearly not conducive to the public good,” the spokesperson added. “Wireless Festival’s decision to defend this booking until the very last moment for the sake of profit is shameful, and sponsors are right to distance themselves.”

To get you up to speed: After news broke that Barry and Sabrina reportedly split in late 2024 after a year of dating, the internet was flooded with rumors that he had been unfaithful to the “Espresso” singer with influencer Breckie Hill. Despite the denial, the wave of online negativity aimed at the Saltburn star was so intense that he eventually felt forced to delete his Instagram account and release a statement regarding the “hate” he was enduring during that period.

While appearing on a recent episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Barry addressed those persistent cheating rumors directly. He shared a candid look at how the public narrative has fundamentally altered his life—and his perspective was truly heartbreaking.

“I came off Instagram and social profiles,” he confessed during the interview. “I’ve stopped going to events. I’ve stopped, you know, just, socializing. It’s because, you know, there was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on, a narrative that’s not true, and I never confirmed or said anything about it. And, you know, I just disappeared.”

Reflecting on the unique struggles of “having a relationship in the public eye,” Barry pointed toward the video where Breckie denied the rumors. “No one seemed to latch on to that video,” he noted, expressing frustration over how the public perception has shifted since the breakup.

“I’m not asking for people to become my fan and like me because that’s not normal either,” he continued. “But I’m asking for people to stop assuming and also stop jumping on this narrative and attacking me and dragging me down in any way you can, involving my parents who are no longer with me… just absolutely disgusting and vile. There’s videos on TikTok literally going, ‘I hate him.'”

Shannon Elizabeth OnlyFans Earnings: American Pie Star Wealth
If you’re a millennial of a certain age, you know Shannon Elizabeth from a few things. Between the American Pie franchise, Tomcats, Scary Movie, and even a Jay and Silent Bob movie or two, she was arguably one of the queens of the “movies you watched at a sleepover party” subcategory.

Shannon’s acting career has remained fairly steady since then, but she recently took on a new role entirely: OnlyFans creator. She joined the service just a few weeks ago, telling People at the time that starting her own OnlyFans was because “I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career. This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”

Well, just a few weeks later, People has a new report on how the OnlyFans foray is going for Shannon — and as it turns out, she’s seemingly struck content-creator gold in the process.

A source tells the publication that Shannon brought in “more than seven figures” on the first week she joined OnlyFans. Seven figures! Let that sink in.

The source adds that Shannon “is really making a name for herself” on her page, and they also note that there is no full nudity featured on it. “She is super happy she now gets to take control and be engaged with her fans,” the source adds.
