Sabrina Carpenter Fans Defend Her Right To Be Sexy Online
I hate to say it, but the viral Sabrina Carpenter sex discourse has returned to the timeline, and as you can probably imagine, it is just as exhausting as ever.

Over the past few years, the 26-year-old pop star has faced a steady stream of backlash for the unapologetic way she embraces her sexuality. It arguably began back in 2022 when she started ad-libbing different NSFW outros to her hit song “Nonsense” during live performances, and the scrutiny has only snowballed since.

Sabrina has openly admitted that those viral outros triggered a public reputation of her being “vulgar” or “obnoxiously horny,” but that hasn’t stopped her from leaning further into her sexual prowess and artistic confidence.

From X-Rated Outros to the “Juno” Sex Positions
By the time the Short n’ Sweet tour launched in 2024, Sabrina had retired the explicit outros in favor of even more provocative stage gimmicks. Specifically, she began demonstrating different sex positions during her performance of “Juno,” right after singing the lyrics: “Wanna try out some freaky positions? / Have you ever tried this one?”

Before long, these choreography choices sparked frustrating online debates. The peak of the controversy arrived during a Paris show in March 2025. In a cheeky nod to the host city, Sabrina used two male dancers to demonstrate the “Eiffel Tower” sex position, which involves one person in the middle of two partners.

In viral footage from the concert, Sabrina giggled while taking her place between the dancers, but social media critics weren’t laughing. The move sparked a massive conversation about female agency after a tweet claiming the position was “inherently degrading” toward women went viral.

Is Embracing Sexuality “Anti-Feminist”?
While critics complained, others pointed out that consensually enjoying a performance or a position isn’t degrading just because men are present. Many noted the whole thing was a joke tailored for the Paris audience and that people were overanalyzing a lighthearted moment.

Still, the debate bubbled up again when Sabrina revealed the cover art for her 2025 album, Man’s Best Friend, released in August. The cover featured Sabrina kneeling on the floor in front of an anonymous figure in a suit who is holding her hair.

Sabrina looks seductively at the camera in the image, reaching one hand toward the person. Immediately, the internet erupted with accusations that the star was “objectifying herself” and claims that the imagery was “anti-feminist.”

Decoding the Message Behind “Man’s Best Friend”
Once again, Sabrina’s fan base came to her defense. They argued the artwork was a sharp commentary on how the public perceives women. Fans theorized the title is a reference to the way men often refer to women as “bitches,” reclaiming the “dog” metaphor.

Furthermore, the lead single “Manchild” was a direct critique of male behavior. The music video continued Sabrina’s trend of mocking men in her creative work, even going so far as to compare them to pigs.

Sabrina Responds to the Constant Scrutiny
Sabrina addressed this constant public pressure in a Rolling Stone interview, stating: “I don’t want to be pessimistic, but I truly feel like I’ve never lived in a time where women have been picked apart more, and scrutinized in every capacity. I’m not just talking about me. I’m talking about every female artist that is making art right now.”

When asked about the backlash to her album cover during a CBS Mornings segment, Sabrina offered a blunt response: “Y’all need to get out more, I think.”

Justin Goff Photos / Getty Images
“It’s perfect for what the album is, and what it represents,” she added, explaining the cover was “so opposite of the world ending.” She clarified that the photo is about “being in on the control, being in on your lack of control, and when you want to be in control.”

Sabrina ended her tour by poking fun at the outrage. During one of her final shows, she recreated the Man’s Best Friend album cover live on stage—pulling her own hair with a knowing smile—effectively mocking the critics who took issue with her autonomy.

The “House Tour” Video Sparks a New Wave of Backlash
Since then, the discourse had been quiet, until Monday when she released the official music video for “House Tour,” featuring Margaret Qualley and Madelyn Cline.

Co-directed by Sabrina and Margaret, the video channels the aesthetic of the 2013 film The Bling Ring. The plot follows the three women breaking into a mansion, trashing the property, and having a wild time.

The video plays on the song’s double entendres. The “house” in the lyrics is clearly a metaphor for Sabrina’s body, with lines like “I can take you to the first, second, third floor” and a chorus where she sings, “I just want you to come inside / But never enter through the back door.”

In the visuals, Sabrina, Margaret, and Madelyn are seen in their underwear, raiding rooms and engaging in playful activities like sword fighting. In one scene, Margaret reads to Sabrina while she relaxes in a bubble bath.

Critics vs. Fans: The Battle Over the “Male Gaze”
While the vibe is mischievous and fun, the usual critics have surfaced to slam the sexy imagery, accusing the singer of catering to the male gaze.

One viral tweet with over 16K likes stated: “mm i’m too woke for this.” Another critic claimed: “Sabrina’s problem is that she wants to hate men and get support from women but also sexualizes herself for the same men.”

Island Records / Freenjoy / Via youtube.com
Fortunately, many fans have jumped in to defend the singer, pointing out that shaming women for their sexuality is actually a form of internalized misogyny. They argue that criticizing a woman for showing her body is more aligned with puritanical values than progressive feminism.

Island Records / Freenjoy / Via youtube.com
“Not going to lie, people insisting Sabrina is making porn for wearing revealing outfits and being playfully flirty in a music video are very much more anti-woman than a single thing Sabrina has ever done,” one person tweeted. Another added: “I’m genuinely stunned that people are outraged that a music video about sex contains sexual content. Are women not allowed to be sexual anymore?”

Island Records / Freenjoy / Via youtube.com
One more user echoed the sentiment: “Why is a woman being sexy only perceived as something done solely for men anyways?”

Island Records / Freenjoy / Via youtube.com
“Also for what it’s worth I do not understand why we started looking at everything from the lens of ‘is this arousing for men?’ and stopping there. What about for other women? What about herself?” another user asked. A quote-tweet added that many people have a misguided idea of feminism that relies on policing women’s behavior to avoid “feeding the beasts.”

Reclaiming Feminism in Pop Culture
The defense continued with one fan tweeting: “You guys are not feminists or pro-women if you believe that a straight adult woman singing about enjoying sex is ‘wrong.’ A lot of y’all clearly grew up conservative and it’s showing.” Another noted the “bimbo vs. radical feminist” dichotomy is a tired trope that ignores the nuance of an attractive woman singing about her life.

Ultimately, as one popular tweet concluded: “shaming women for being sexual isn’t feminism babe.”

To get you up to speed: After news broke that Barry and Sabrina reportedly split in late 2024 after a year of dating, the internet was flooded with rumors that he had been unfaithful to the “Espresso” singer with influencer Breckie Hill. For her part, Breckie quickly shut down the cheating speculation on her own platforms.

Despite the denial, the wave of online negativity aimed at the Saltburn star was so intense that he eventually felt forced to delete his Instagram account and release a statement regarding the “hate” he was enduring during that period.

While appearing on a recent episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Barry addressed those persistent cheating rumors directly. He shared a candid look at how the public narrative has fundamentally altered his life—and his perspective was truly heartbreaking.

Steve Granitz / FilmMagic
“I came off Instagram and social profiles,” he confessed during the interview. “I’ve stopped going to events. I’ve stopped, you know, just, socializing. It’s because, you know, there was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on, a narrative that’s not true, and I never confirmed or said anything about it. And, you know, I just disappeared.”

Reflecting on the unique struggles of “having a relationship in the public eye,” Barry pointed toward the video where Breckie denied the rumors. “No one seemed to latch on to that video,” he noted, expressing frustration over how the public perception has shifted since the breakup.

“I’m not asking for people to become my fan and like me because that’s not normal either,” he continued. “But I’m asking for people to stop assuming and also stop jumping on this narrative and attacking me and dragging me down in any way you can, involving my parents who are no longer with me… just absolutely disgusting and vile. There’s videos on TikTok literally going, ‘I hate him.'”

Shannon Elizabeth OnlyFans Earnings: American Pie Star Wealth
If you’re a millennial of a certain age, you know Shannon Elizabeth from a few things. Between the American Pie franchise, Tomcats, Scary Movie, and even a Jay and Silent Bob movie or two, she was arguably one of the queens of the “movies you watched at a sleepover party” subcategory.

©Universal/Courtesy Everett Collection
Shannon’s acting career has remained fairly steady since then, but she recently took on a new role entirely: OnlyFans creator. She joined the service just a few weeks ago, telling People at the time that starting her own OnlyFans was because “I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career. This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”

Well, just a few weeks later, People has a new report on how the OnlyFans foray is going for Shannon — and as it turns out, she’s seemingly struck content-creator gold in the process.

A source tells the publication that Shannon brought in “more than seven figures” on the first week she joined OnlyFans. Seven figures! Let that sink in.

The source adds that Shannon “is really making a name for herself” on her page, and they also note that there is no full nudity featured on it. “She is super happy she now gets to take control and be engaged with her fans,” the source adds.

See, this is what Margo was thinking when she said she had money troubles…we’ve reached out to Shannon’s reps for further comment and will let you know if we hear anything back.
