However, two years ago, she also dominated the Met red carpet, wearing a breathtaking ombre blue jumpsuit encrusted with 98,000 Swarovski crystals paired with matching shimmering makeup.

Why is this archival look resurfacing now? The conversation reignited after the Washington Post published a deep dive into how A-list stars manage to pee at the Met Gala while wearing complex, custom couture. The report highlighted how extravagant outfits often lead to fashion emergencies “requiring the help of assistants, seamstresses and even fellow celebs.”

According to the feature, some celebrities avoid red carpet accidents by having teams help them undress, utilizing hidden “trap doors” sewn into the garments, or simply choosing not to drink any liquids throughout the entire evening. Despite these precautions, accidents apparently still occur.
Celebrity stylist Mickey Freeman shared an anecdote with the Post regarding a specific mishap involving a client. He described the star making a “stunning entrance in an elaborate couture sheer mesh jumpsuit, intricately embroidered and adorned with a stunning array of hand-stitched Swarovski crystals and pearls, covering her from neck to toe.”

According to Freeman, the custom piece was designed to be secured with a zipper. However, after the zipper malfunctioned while the client was getting ready, the team opted to sew her directly into the outfit instead.

Later during the dinner, the client allegedly got “swept up in the grandeur and excitement,” consumed several drinks, and forgot she was sewn in. She reportedly ended up ripping the expensive garment because “inevitably, her bladder decided to remind her.”

While Freeman did not explicitly name the individual, the news outlet noted that the detailed description of the crystal-covered jumpsuit bore a striking resemblance to Anok Yai’s famous ensemble.

Anok was incredibly quick to shut down the narrative, denying that the embarrassing story was about her.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Anok expressed her outrage, writing: “I usually stay quiet and keep to myself but … HOW DARE YOU MISALIGN MY CHARACTER AND IMPLY THAT I RIPPED MY OUTFIT AND PEED ON MYSELF DURING THE MET GALA OF 2024!”

The model then followed up with a blunt demand: “FACT CHECK NEXT TIME! ARE YOU CRAZY?!”

@anokyai
In a series of posts, Anok also tagged the Washington Post and the original writer of the story while sharing a screenshot of the specific section that led to the viral speculation.

@anokyai
“If you find any photos of my outfit ripped or urine dripping down my leg send it to me,” she captioned a photo of herself looking flawless at the event.

@anokyai
Social media users and fans found the reporting to be in poor taste, labeling it an “awful” thing to imply about a professional model.
“Glad she’s standing up for herself, what an insane thing to make up about someone,” one Reddit user commented, while another fan noted that the focus on such a private moment was a “weird thing to report on.”

Pascal Le Segretain / Getty Images
“Yeah I’d be furious too,” another person chimed in. “That’s such a bizarre thing to publish about someone.”

It is easy to understand why the model felt the need to clear her name. Drop a comment below and let us know what you think about this red carpet controversy.

Social media has been buzzing lately during his red carpet events as many fans realize for the first time that Stanley is married to Felicity Blunt.

Felicity, of course, is the sister of Stanley’s iconic The Devil Wears Prada costar, Emily Blunt.

The pair tied the knot back in 2012, which was three years after the tragic passing of Stanley’s first wife, Kathryn Spath. While appearing on Jenna Bush Hager’s Open Book podcast, the actor delved into how their romance blossomed and candidly spoke about the 21-year age difference between them. Currently, Stanley is 65 while Felicity is 45.

Stanley recalled that he initially met Felicity, a literary agent, at the 2006 premiere of the original Devil Wears Prada. Their paths crossed again in 2010—about a year after his wife’s death—at the wedding of Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.

“It just sort of made sense, even though there is this age gap of 21 years,” the actor noted. “I knew her family, or I knew her sister was one of my best friends. And we just hit it off.”

Stanley admitted that he “wasn’t sure” if he would ever walk down the aisle again following the loss of Kathryn, with whom he shared two children. However, his connection with Felicity proved undeniable. “We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common. It just sort of stuck. But I think she changed my life in the sense that she gave me a sense of security. She gave my children a sense of security. And she’s fun. Like, she’s fun to hang out with.”

The beloved star continued to praise Felicity, describing her as “incredibly positive.” He added, “Her mind is incredible. Her capacity to take in information, not just from a book, but from the world and process it, and turn it into something else is just extraordinary. She’s pretty cool.”

It is truly a heartwarming connection. You can catch the full interview to hear more of his insights.

2. Long before he became the face of Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. faced significant legal troubles throughout the 1990s. Following a 1996 arrest for drug and weapon possession, he was ordered to undergo supervised drug testing. After missing a test, he served four months in the Los Angeles County jail. In 1999, he was sentenced to three years for skipping another test, serving 15 months total before his release. In 2015, former Governor Jerry Brown officially pardoned him.
