19 Stars Who Went MAGA: Celebrities Supporting Donald Trump

Published

on

cold smooth tasty 67

Celebrities have always treated politics like a balancing act. For years, openly supporting Donald Trump came with a level of social risk that most people in Hollywood weren’t willing to take. During his first presidency, backing Trump publicly could mean backlash from fans, peers, and even employers. For a long time, that stigma kept many celebrities either openly critical of him or carefully silent.

But something shifted heading into the 2024 election, and especially in the months after. Despite the chaos and controversy that defined Trump’s first term, a surprising number of public figures felt more comfortable aligning with him the second time around. In just the past few months alone, we’ve seen figures like Nick Cannon say they like Trump. Chilli has been pulled into MAGA-adjacent conversations, even as she denies the label. And actors like Josh Duhamel have gone from once being critical of Trump to arguing that celebrities shouldn’t share their political views at all, something critics see as a convenient pivot.

Over the past couple of years, a noticeable wave of entertainers, athletes, and media personalities has either openly embraced Trump-aligned politics or drifted toward Republican messaging. The social stigma that once surrounded his name in entertainment circles appears to have softened — at least enough for more celebrities to test the waters publicly. With that in mind, we’re taking a look at 19 celebrities who have come out as MAGA or Republican in recent years:

1. Nicki Minaj

Perhaps one of the strangest pivots has to come from Nicki Minaj. Though previously critical of the Trump admin to varying degrees, she came out as his “no. 1 fan” earlier this year during the Trump Summit in early 2026. She later flaunted one of Trump’s Gold Cards, though a Homeland Security Department official said that Nicki’s been eligible to petition for citizenship since she’s been a legal permanent resident for nearly 20 years. She’s also been bonding with Erika Kirk as of late, too.

2. Zachary Levi

Zachary Levi is openly conservative, but he wasn’t always a fan of Trump. During the 2016 elections, he urged his X (formerly Twitter) followers not to vote for either Trump or Hillary Clinton. He had a change of heart when RFK Jr. dropped out. In 2024, he formally endorsed Trump ahead of the elections during an event in Michigan.

3. Drea de Matteo

Mike Coppola / Getty Images

The Sopranos star cast her ballot for Joe Biden in 2020, her first time voting. However, by the time the next election cycle came around, she came out as MAGA, partially due to her anti-vax stance and the crime rate, among other factors. In an interview with Variety, she said that she wasn’t the only person in Hollywood who was voting for Trump. “The people I’m around, a lot of liberals are voting for Trump. I think half of Hollywood is actually voting for Trump,” she said. “I know that I’ve gotten plenty of messages in my Inbox: ‘Thank you for saying things I can’t say.’”

4. Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson didn’t extend his co-sign on Donald Trump until the 2024 election cycle, when he became a big part of the campaign. Gibson offered his endorsement of Trump while downplaying Kamala Harris’s intelligence ahead of the last election. Shortly after, Trump named him alongside Jon Voight and Sylvester Stallone as his Hollywood ambassadors of sorts. “They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK — BIGGER, BETTER. AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!” Trump wrote ahead of his inauguration, per the Hollywood Reporter. “It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

5. Elon Musk

Before the 2024 election, Musk had criticized Donald Trump’s presidency, and the pair certainly had a rocky relationship. However, the X owner eventually gave Trump a glowing endorsement, pushed him on the campaign trail, and reportedly spent about $290 million on Trump and the Republican Party. Ultimately, he took on a leading role in DOGE, before his very public breakup with Trump.

6. Amber Rose

Amber Rose has done a full 180 on Trump since his 2016 campaign. In an interview that year, she described him as a “f*cking idiot.” Fast forward to 2024, and she has become one of his boldest advocates in pop culture. After supposedly doing her own research, she saw the Republican light and embraced MAGA, eventually appearing at rallies and even meeting with Trump and Melania for photo-ops.

7. Anuel AA

Puerto Rican Reggaeton star Anuel AA offered a glowing endorsement for Trump at a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Here, he was joined by Justin Quiles to try to mobilize the Puerto Rican vote. Calling Trump “the best president the world has seen, this country has ever seen,” Anuel AA encouraged, “all my Puerto Ricans, let’s stay united. Let’s vote for Trump.”

8. Ray J

Ray J’s pivot toward MAGA was gradual. Though he wasn’t necessarily a vocal Trump supporter during the 2016 and 2020 elections, he eventually met with the president at Mar-A-Lago — a meeting that made headlines. However, when Trump won his second term, Ray J popped out with a MAGA hat right next to Amber Rose.

9. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Prior to the 2024 election, RFK Jr. made it clear that he didn’t like Donald Trump as president in any capacity. In fact, he referred to Trump as a sociopath, among other things, until eventually joining the Trump administration as the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.

10. Nick Cannon

Another one of Amber Rose’s pals who’ve turned pro-Trump, Nick Cannon never endorsed Trump or the GOP until recently. During an interview with Rose on his Big Drive series, he said the Democrats are the “party of the KKK,” adding, “People don’t know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves. I mean, you and I have some conservative views. You’re just a little bit more outspoken about it than I am.” He failed to explain how the two parties shifted policies over the years, though he added that he doesn’t “subscribe to either party.” Nonetheless, he said that he loves what Trump is doing. “We got the Gulf of America now. He’s like the club, he charging $5 million bottle service to get into the country,” said Cannon. “I f*ck with Trump!”

11. Snoop Dogg

Though not necessarily a grand declaration of MAGA or Republicanism, Snoop’s attitude toward Donald Trump has shifted significantly over the years. The rap icon has faced his fair share of criticism for supporting Donald Trump and people like Kanye, who did the same. However, after Trump pardoned Michael “Harry-O” Harris, Snoop said he has “nothing but love and respect” for him ahead of the 2024 elections. “Donald Trump?” Snoop Dogg said. “He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.”

12. Wayne Gretzky

One of the greatest, if not the greatest, hockey players of all time showed his true colors at a time when his presidential pal aimed to annex his home country. Wayne Gretzky’s friendship with Donald Trump became a contentious topic in Canada when he attended Trump’s 2024 victory party at Mar-A-Lago wearing a MAGA hat. While he’s denied being political, there’s really nothing more political than a Canadian wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat in the midst of 51st state threats.

13. Tulsi Gabbard

Another person in Trump’s administration who previously had harsh words for him, Tulsi Gabbard made a turn to MAGA and is now the director of national intelligence. The irony is that she was perviously largely against Trump’s foreign policy, particularly when it pertained to Iran. Most recently, she seemingly defended Trump’s decision to attack Iran after Joe Kent’s resignation.

14. Brittany Mahomes

Former professional soccer player and wife of Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes faced backlash after showing subtle support for Donald Trump. After liking a “2024 GOP Platform” post on Instagram, she eventually removed it and then called her critics “haters.” Standing up for Trump garnered praise from the president himself. However, it also raised many eyebrows.

15. Cheryl Hines

By association, platforms like Vanity Fair have described Cheryl Hines, the wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as a “MAGA wife.” It’s been reported that it ruined some of her relationships in Hollywood, and while she hasn’t necessarily been a staunch, outright Trump supporter, she has certainly allowed her brand to be closely associated with the conservative movement as of late.

16. Taryn Manning

beWuymIC

Gregg Deguire / Getty Images

The Orange Is The New Black star called Trump her “hero” at one point. Despite never opening up about MAGA before, she came out as a Trump supporter in 2023. “I love you, Donny. In all your mistakes and the tool you are, you’re my hero. The most un-racist human on this planet. The lies they speak about you hurt,” she wrote. Interestingly enough, she has since retracted her support for him in a rant about taxes, claiming that he’s made her feel “like the little girl waiting at school for a dad who never comes,” calling his assassination attempt “staged,” and vowing to never trust another politician again.

17. Khalilah Ali

Muhammad Ali’s second ex-wife, Khalilah Ali, has had her fair share of criticism towards Trump in the past, including launching the #AlivsTrump campaign after she and her son were detained at a Florida airport. They both claimed it was the result of the travel ban targeting Muslims. She later changed her tune, declaring in 2024 that she would cast her vote for Trump.

18. Antonio Brown

Though seemingly distancing himself from the Trump administration these days, former NFL star Antonio Brown was among those who were heavy on the campaign trail in support of the president. He appeared at a Pennsylvania rally to endorse Donald Trump and help garner votes for the Republican Party.

19. Le’Veon Bell

Joining Antonio Brown in Pennsylvania was Le’Veon Bell, who reportedly threatened to leave the country if Kamala Harris won. But prior to this election, he wasn’t particularly vocal about politics. However, his alignment with Trump evidently yielded some benefits in its aftermath, including allegedly getting out of a traffic ticket because of his MAGA hat.

Why Trump Stayed Onstage Longer Than JD Vance After Shooting

President Donald Trump suggested he may have intentionally slowed down U.S. Secret Service agents, causing Vice President JD Vance to be evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner noticeably faster than the commander-in-chief following a nearby shooting.

“I wanted to see what was happening,” Trump explained during a high-profile interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday. “And I wasn’t making it that easy for them. I wanted to see what was going on. And by that time, we started to realize maybe it was a bad problem,” he noted regarding the security breach.

Trump commented on the frantic ballroom scene shortly after CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell pointed out that it took security details roughly 20 seconds longer to usher him offstage compared to his VP. “What was happening?” O’Donnell questioned. “Well, what happened is it was a little bit me,” Trump admitted.

Footage from the event depicts the audible sounds of gunfire echoing from outside the main ballroom while the president and first lady Melania Trump, alongside others at the head table, observed a performance by mentalist Oz Pearlman. Moments later, several agents emerged from the wings before accelerating their pace to surround the Trumps.

Security personnel then assisted Trump from his chair before escorting him offstage behind a protective curtain. Vance had been rushed out about 20 seconds prior after agents grabbed him by his suit jacket while he was still seated and hurried him away from the dais. Trump told O’Donnell he felt “surrounded by great people” but claimed he forced the agents to “act a little bit more slowly.”

“I said, ‘Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let me see. Wait a minute,’” Trump recalled. The president further noted that as they exited, agents instructed him to “please go down on the floor.” He and the first lady took cover on the ground, he said, before rising shortly after to be led by the protective detail to a secure holding room.

As the current administration faces intense scrutiny regarding the reported lower level of security at the dinner compared to other presidential appearances, White House officials are scheduled to review security protocols this week for upcoming major events involving the president.

Karoline Leavitt Hitler Comment Sparks Brutal Online Rebuttal

Published

By

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday tried to blame what she called a “left-wing cult of hatred” against President Donald Trump for political violence in the nation, including the shooting at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

rkEKo7kAH

But one of her complaints caught the eyes and ears of critics. “Those who constantly falsely label and slander the president as a fascist, as a threat to democracy, and compare him to Hitler to score political points are fueling this kind of violence,” she declared.

Anna Moneymaker / Getty Images

As many were quick to point out, one of the most prominent examples of someone comparing Trump to Hitler is already in the White House: Vice President JD Vance. In 2016, when Trump was running for president for the first time, Vance told a friend via private message that he wasn’t sure if Trump was “a cynical asshole like Nixon” or if he could be “America’s Hitler.”

Vance has since said he was wrong about Trump. But many are reminding Leavitt of what he said in the past:

Is Taylor Swift Calling Out Fans for Lyrical Paternity Tests?

Published

Taylor Swift has officially earned her spot on the New York Times list of the 30 Greatest Living American Songwriters, joining the ranks of icons like Mariah Carey, Nile Rodgers, and Jay-Z.

As Taylor’s massive discography has expanded, her dedicated fanbase has made it their mission to analyze every single lyric, hunting for secret clues about the singer’s private life.

Take her iconic hit “All Too Well,” for instance. The lyrics, “I left my scarf there at your sister’s house, and you’ve still got it in your drawer even now,” sparked a viral investigation. Fans quickly deduced the scarf was left at Maggie Gyllenhaal’s house during Taylor’s relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. The internet then collectively demanded the actor return the infamous accessory.

The scarf saga became so legendary that music royalty Dionne Warwick even weighed in on Twitter with a hilarious offer to help:

“It does not belong to you. Box it up and I will pay the cost of postage, Jake.”

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Taylor finally addressed the constant decoding of her work, confessing that the obsession with her personal life “can be a little bit weird.”

“There’s corners of my fanbase who are gonna take things to a really extreme place,” Swift admitted. “There’s nothing I can do about that. There’s people who are gonna try to, like, do detective work, figure out the details — who is that about? What is this?”

“When it gets a little bit weird for me is when people act like it’s a paternity test,” she added. “Like, ‘This song’s about that person.’ Because I’m like, ‘That dude didn’t write the song, I did.’ But that’s part of it.”

Fans are currently split on Taylor’s take regarding these lyrical Easter egg hunts. For the most part, many listeners are backing her up:

“i think it’s very stupid when people waste their time trying to find out who a particular song is about.. like just enjoy the song”

w0y oibzz

@vesperamyst / Via x.com

“maylors, joewives, and travwives all are gonna hate reading this”

JzeLkswCU

@geokonic / Via x.com

“Thank you for calling us out”

@jadedmaroon / Via x.com

“Like how she owns it, the end of the day, she wrote the song, not the guesses.”

@LyfAcrosBorders / Via x.com

“Those people are the Swifties. And I am guilty I am one of that people”

90iL4zNlX

@Filmfanatick / Via x.com

“People focus on the muse but ignore the creator… she clocked that”

y8V1pP0QF

@BIZBoost / Via x.com

“She’s so right. People get so caught up in the ‘who’ that they forget to appreciate the ‘how.’ The songwriting stands on its own regardless of whose name is in the headlines.”

7te8TboZB

@Me_dot_c0m02 / Via x.com

“Taylor writes from her own heart and experiences yet fans turn every line into a guessing game. Let her keep the magic instead of treating songs like detective puzzles. Shes right.”

R8SPZEBZg

@PrasVector / Via x.com

“Taylor Swift really said it perfectly People love playing detective , but turning songs into a ‘paternity test’ is kinda missing the point At the end of the day, the story, the emotions, the art — it all comes from her Let the music be felt, not dissected”

G gYifOUE

@HypeTime01 / Via x.com

“Taylor calling it a paternity test is the most accurate description of Twitter/X whenever she drops an album. People are out here with whiteboards and red string trying to prove a song is about a guy she dated for three weeks in 2014.”

vBx5

@Reika675 / Via x.com

“Not Taylor calling us detectives with fake badges We out here with red string and conspiracy boards like All Too Well 10 Min Version was about my situationship too. But she’s righ the pen belongs to her”

fNHak6bS

@SegodiTlour / Via x.com

“I know some people in this fandom will be so mad…,lmao”

pj Afke F

@DeborahYeboah16 / Via x.com

However, a different segment of the internet argues that Taylor herself encouraged this sleuthing behavior for years:

“I find this a little odd of her to say… she’s the one who taught us to do that. She capitalized letters in her lyric books in the cds for us to decode… now she doesn’t want us dissecting things?”

NjxOUDQ m

@JenelleLubig / Via x.com

“Taylor Swift needs to take her ego down a notch. Maybe her fanatic ‘swifties’ are all up in her business but the general public doesn’t care. Plus, songs and poems have always held a mysterious origin curiosity. Some are easy to figure out or the author says it. Others are secretive leaving the public to wonder. That’s the beauty of songs and poems.”

oJ2yU0HKv

@moraltreason / Via x.com

“She literally leaves easter eggs everywhere and than says this girl, you trained them that way!”

tCQrAqdco

@Claire8502 / Via x.com

“She trained detectives for years and now wants peace. Fair enough”

uUd3Wp5hZ

@WpFactory1 / Via x.com

Throughout her storied career, Taylor’s high-profile romances have been under a microscope. She has previously been linked to stars like Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Matty Healy, and Joe Alwyn. During those eras, fans meticulously dissected her lyrics like a team of forensic experts to find any scrap of romantic tea.

Hj3Q9fheZ

She is now happily engaged to NFL champion Travis Kelce and is in the midst of wedding planning. With fans affectionately calling them the “English teacher” and the “gym teacher,” it’s certain that their upcoming nuptials will be the most analyzed event in pop culture history.
